How it works
One layer between your wallpaper and your windows
SonicAura opens a single transparent window that sits above the desktop. It listens to the audio loopback of Windows — the same mix that reaches your speakers — and turns what it measures into movement: how loud the track is, how much bass or treble it carries, when a note attacks and which way the melody is going.
There is nothing to set up before the first effect appears. Install the app, and the overlay rises on top of whatever you already have open. Choose an effect, play something, and adjust how strongly the effect follows the sound.

Is SonicAura a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time purchase of US$ 8.99. The license does not expire and there is never a renewal charge. In Brazil the price is R$ 39,99, also paid once.
Does it work with Spotify, YouTube and games?
Yes. SonicAura measures the system audio loopback, so every source that reaches your speakers works: music services, browsers, media players, games and DAWs.
Can I use the same license on another PC?
One activation at a time. Deactivate the license on the current machine inside the app and activate it on the new one — the app has a documented deactivation and reset flow.
Do I need administrator rights?
No. The app installs and runs per user, without elevated privileges, and it does not require a driver or a service.
What is an “effect”?
An effect is a visual layer driven by the audio. The app ships with Aurora Veil, Ambient Dust, Corner Waves, Radial Wobble (classic), Ghost Auras, Breathing Grid, Chromatic Vignette, Constellation Web, Floating Embers, Fluid Boundary, Neon Flora, Flow Pendulum, Topographic Lines, Pulse Bars and Screen Ripple. The free plan includes 2 effects — Aurora Veil and Ambient Dust — and Pro unlocks every effect in the app.
What is the plugin marketplace?
It is a catalog of effects for the app. An effect is a single file in an open, documented format, so anyone can publish one — including you. Installing from the marketplace is a Pro feature.
Does the app record my screen or what I type?
No. Screen pixels and system audio are measured in memory and never written to a file or sent anywhere. The typing layer measures the instant and the position of the physical key and never receives the character. The privacy policy describes each layer in detail.
Does the overlay appear in my screenshots and recordings?
While an effect that reads the screen is active, the overlay excludes itself from the capture APIs of Windows, so your screenshots and screen recordings stay clean.
